Strawberry and Cream Flatbread Roll
By: Denise Browning, From Brazil To You
Yield: 1 roll
Strawberry and Cream Flatbread Roll
Ingredients
- 1 Flatout Flatbread The Original
- 2 oz (light) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar, plus extra to sprinkle on top
- 3/4 cup (light) whipped cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped strawberries, divided
Directions
Place flatbread on a cutting board. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat softened cream cheese and sugar together until obtaining a creamy, smooth mixture. Add the whipped cream and beat just until mixture is silky and blended. Stir in the vanilla.
Spread half of the cream on flatbread. Top with chopped strawberries and carefully roll up. Wrap roll with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30-60 minutes. Unwrap, sift extra powdered sugar over roll, slice, and serve. Enjoy!
Suggested Flatout: Healthy Grain - Multi Grain with Flax, Light - Original, The Original
This recipe says to “spread half of the cream on flatbread” but does not direct me what to do with the other half of the cream. Would anyone like to elaborate?
